Jennifer Hall has been working as a Clinical Psychologist since 2012. She has worked with both adults and adolescents across public mental health settings and in private practice. Prior to becoming a clinical psychologist, Jen spent 7 years in the Alcohol and Other Drug sector, gaining valuable experience in supporting individuals facing addiction and related challenges. Jen takes a trauma-informed approach to therapy, seeking to create a safe and empathetic space for people to explore their vulnerabilities. Her aim is to assist individuals to develop a deeper understanding of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, empowering them to make positive changes in their lives. Jen also works with individuals to develop practical strategies for overcoming the challenges that impact on their relationships, quality of life, and overall well-being. Jen works with people from diverse backgrounds and welcomes members of the LGBTQIA+ community and neurodivergent individuals. She provides therapy from a holistic, person-centred perspective, ensuring that her therapeutic approach is uniquely tailored to the individual’s needs and preferences. With a strong foundation in evidence-based treatment, Jen is trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Imagery Rescripting, and trauma-informed therapy.

Fees
The standard consultation fee for a 50 minute session is $270 per session. Under the Australian Government’s Better Access to Mental Health Care Initiative, most people are eligible to receive a Medicare rebate of $141.85 for up to 10 individual sessions in a calendar year (1 January to 31 December). To access mental health treatment under Medicare you must be referred by your GP or a psychiatrist. If a GP is the referring practitioner they will need to prepare a Mental Health Treatment Plan before referring you to a psychologist. You should book a longer session with your GP to enable time for this. A referral is for a maximum of six sessions, after which your referring doctor will assess your progress and determine whether further sessions are needed.
